Privacy Policy
Note for the site owner (remove before publishing): This policy is a starting draft based on how this website is built. Have it reviewed by a qualified attorney for compliance with the laws that apply to your business (for example state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA, and telemarketing/SMS rules) and update any section that does not match your actual practices — including which analytics and advertising tools you have installed.
This Privacy Policy explains how GFS Logistic (“GFS Logistic,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit gfslogistic.com (the “Site”), submit a form, or contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp.
Information we collect
Information you provide through our forms
When you request transportation capacity or submit a driver / owner operator inquiry, we collect the information you enter, which may include:
- Names
- Business information, such as company name and company type
- Email addresses
- Telephone numbers and WhatsApp numbers
- City, state and ZIP code
- Shipment details, such as pickup and delivery locations, dates, freight description, pieces, weight, dimensions and special instructions
- Equipment information, such as vehicle type, year, make, model, cargo dimensions, payload, and DOT or MC numbers if you choose to provide them
- Experience and operating-area information
- Uploaded documents, such as shipment documents, vehicle photos or insurance documents
- Your preferred contact method and your consent to be contacted
Our public web forms do not ask for Social Security numbers, banking information or driver’s license numbers. Please do not include that information in form fields or uploads.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Website analytics information, such as pages viewed, time on page, links clicked and the website that referred you
- IP address, device type, browser type, operating system and general location derived from your IP address, where applicable
- Campaign information, such as UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers in the link you followed to the Site, which we store in your browser so we can understand which campaigns lead to inquiries
- Information collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below
We store a one-way, salted hash of your IP address with form submissions to help prevent spam and abuse, rather than the IP address itself.
Cookies, analytics and advertising pixels
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your choices, understand how the Site is used and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. Depending on the tools we have enabled, these may include:
- Google Analytics (if installed), to understand Site traffic and usage. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Google Ads conversion tracking and Google Tag Manager (if installed), to measure which ads lead to inquiries.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel (if installed), to measure and improve our Meta advertising.
- TikTok Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag (if installed), to measure advertising on those platforms.
These providers may collect information about your use of the Site and other websites over time. You can decline non-essential cookies using the cookie notice on our Site, adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies, and use the ad-preference tools provided by Google, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn. Some browsers send “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signals; how we respond depends on the tools in use and applicable law.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to transportation inquiries and coordinate transportation capacity
- Follow up on leads by your preferred contact method
- Review driver, owner operator and carrier inquiries and contact qualified applicants about opportunities (carrier recruiting)
- Send confirmation emails about your submission
- Operate, secure and improve the Site, including preventing spam and fraud
- Measure the performance of our website and advertising
- Support internal business operations, recordkeeping and compliance with legal obligations
How we share information
We do not sell personal information simply because you submitted an inquiry to GFS Logistic. We may share information:
- With service providers who help us operate our business and the Site (for example website hosting, email delivery, analytics and advertising measurement providers), who are expected to use it only to provide services to us
- With transportation partners when reasonably necessary to respond to or fulfill a transportation request you made
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of GFS Logistic, our users or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business
Information retention
We keep form submissions and related records for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to follow up on your inquiry, to consider driver and owner operator applicants for future opportunities, and to meet legal, accounting or recordkeeping requirements — and then delete or de-identify them. Driver and owner operator inquiries may be kept on file so that we can contact applicants when capacity becomes available.
Information security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access to submitted leads, and storage of uploaded documents in a location that is not publicly accessible. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you submitted by contacting us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
- You can opt out of non-essential cookies through our cookie notice and your browser settings.
- You can unsubscribe from any marketing emails using the link in the email or by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law. We will respond to requests as required by the laws that apply to us.
Text messages (SMS)
We do not currently send marketing text messages through this website. If we introduce SMS communications, we will ask for separate, express consent before sending them, describe the type and frequency of messages, explain that message and data rates may apply, and provide clear opt-out instructions (for example, replying STOP). Consent to receive text messages will never be a condition of any purchase or inquiry, and mobile opt-in information will not be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites and services, including WhatsApp. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
